Mrs Shibirree Taakkalaa, mother of three in Boshee Timbakko village, Bonaya Boshe district, East Wallega, was unable to pay increased taxes and was thrown from her home. She was struggling to survive farming but was detained at the district police station on 9 May. Two brothers in Jireenya village, Guto Gidda district, East Wallega, were detained on 9 May for ‘refusing to pay taxes.’
