On 20 March, OSG received a report that Dechasa Tolamariam (right), a father of three, and his wife, Yeshi Regassa, were detained and severely mistreated. Dechasa was detained ‘in a pit’ for over two months from 22 September 2024 and has been sought and harassed while seeking treatment since then. His wife, Yeshi, was detained in Bishoftu 14 Police Station for two weeks. Their children were described as being ‘in great trouble.’
