The 22 ONN staff and guests who were arrested at the Kaku Mame restaurant, Arada, Finfinnee/Addis Ababa on 5 September (OSG Report 53, p.9) were ordered to be released on bail but remained in detention. Gadado reported 23 September that nine were transferred from Arada Police Station to hospital because they had contracted Covid-19 in prison. Gadado wrote on 25 September naming some of the detainees being held since protests at the assassination of Hachalu Hundessa on 29 June, who had been granted bail by the courts but had nonetheless remained in detention.
