Abuse in Afar Region Addis Standard reported on 1 February that at least eight civilians were killed during a drone strike on 30 January, launched by Djibouti against the opposition group, Front for the Restoration of Unity and Democracy (FRUD) in the Afar region. At least another four, including a pregnant woman, were injured during night-time attacks on nomad camps. The attack occurred near the Djibouti border at Siyaru kebele, Elidar district. This was reportedly the second attack in two months.
