On 17 January 2025, properties belonging to Nura Jilo, siblings Negessa Liban, Roba Liban, Gambela Liban and their mother (name not reported) in Goro Dola district, Guji, were burnt by government forces. After burning down the houses, they arrested the owners and then returned and detained their children (W1 and W2). Beating, large numbers of arrests and looting of livestock in Guji and Borana zones were reported by ONM on 6 April. At least 28 were taken from their homes in Adadi village, Goro Dola district, Guji, and Nura Humba, Hardoti and Qarsaa Male villages, Liban district, East Borana, on 1 and 3 April, 16 of whom were named by ONM.
