Breaking development – detention of unmarried Karrayyu girls There is a new development in Karrayyu that is of great concern to the community. Starting April 8, following a visit by a powerful Prosperity Party leader to a big recently renovated lodge on Lake Basaka, 20 young girls were taken into detention in Metahara. Some were beaten. No word about rape so far. They are accused of ‘passing information and food to OLA.’ It is not true.
