Church guard and another resident killed by OLA in Dera woreda after army withdrawal

After the army left Dera woreda on 18 January 2024, OLA fighters took control the next day and killed a guard of Salayish St Mary church and another resident, accusing them of supplying food to government forces. The second man's body was found in a nearby forest.
