Yadeta Jebessa and 17 others were detained from 25 November 2023 and held without being taken to court in Melka Nono sub-city; four had court release orders that were not obeyed. Samuel Lelisa, detained on 2 December 2023 at Ashewa Meda police station as "wanted in connection with Shene", was also still held without court appearance.
