Killing by government forces in Gida Ayana, East Wollega (18 Sep 2023)

According to a statement published by the Oromia Global Forum on 18 September,29 the soldiers who killed the driver had defected from ENDF and had joined Fano after crossing the border from an ENDF camp in Amhara Region. Immediately after the attack, ENDF forces from the same camp terrorised villagers in Gida Ayana district, using their pursuit of the defecting Fano group as an excuse.
