As this report went to press, OSG was informed that illegally detained OLF leaders (see Press Release 7 March 2023) were taken to an unknown place from Burayu Police Station on 19 April. Friends and relatives do not know where they have been taken. In these last days of a directionless, failing government, there are grave concerns for their safety. A negotiated ceasefire and dialogue depend on their safe release.
