Four EHRCO staff investigating forced evictions arrested and disappeared for hours

On 5 January 2023, police arrested and forcibly disappeared for several hours three Ethiopian Human Rights Council staff and their driver, who were investigating forced evictions outside Addis Ababa. An Oromia court released them on bail on 12 January.
