Melkamu Gebisa Dawit Fikiru Abiraham Kamiso Addis Standard 16 November wrote that Oromo singer Damiso Mossisa was reported by a member of the Oromia police to have been killed in prison. He was detained in Nekemte in June 2021 and after time in a military camp in Arjo Dhidheessaa was taken to the Kumsa Maroda place/museum in Nekemte, where he was believed to have been killed 3-4 months before the other prisoners were freed by OLA fighters on 6 November 2022. His songs concerned Oromo resistance to oppression.
