More than 60 Oromo residents killed and 70 injured in attacks on Amuru woreda kebeles

On 30 and 31 August 2022, armed men from Haro Addis Alem kebele and the neighbouring Bure woreda of Amhara Region attacked ethnic Oromo residents in nine Amuru kebeles. More than 60 people were killed and more than 70 injured, and homes and cattle were looted, residents and officials told EHRC.
