Killing in Gola Oda, East Hararghe (26 Aug 2026)

ISS, OSG’s representative in Cairo, reported on 26 August that a young boy, Jamaal Kaliifaa, (pictured below right) was shot dead by local policeman, Ahmed Sheikh (shown below centre), at 5.30 pm on 25 August in Tulaa Minoo village, Gola Oda district, East Hararge. ISS was unsure who ordered the killing but named those in the chain of command; village chief, Hayatee Mustafa, district governor, Aliyi Mohammed Hassan (far left), and his deputy, Dasii Mohammed.
