Killing by government forces in Ameya, South West Shewa (31 Jul 2026)

Three young men, Gidoo Dirriba, Nagaa Mulunaa and another whose name was not known to ONM, were taken from their homes in Amaya district after being accused of being OLA supporters, an allegation denied by their neighbours. They were taken to a remote area of Jibat district in West Showa, tied up and executed. Their bodies were left at the site. The incident was reported by ONM on 31 July. Lataa Garamu (shown right), a young man living in Bune village, Bacho district, was killed by government soldiers on 16 August (W1).
