Yaasin Jamaal, a young man in Gololcha district, Arsi, had his vehicle stolen on 20 June according to ONM and was forced to pay 7,000 birr to the authorities to reclaim it. On 30 June, officials in Shashemane were reported to be extorting money from residents and stealing from city funds (ONM).
