Destruction of school property when it was turned into a military camp in Gudaya Bila district; the banning of motorcycle transport between Jireenya kebele, Guto Gida district, and Nekemte, in retaliation for the OLA road blockade at the beginning of June; and the cutting off of electricity to Qello town, Ebantu district in July, stopping the grain mill from working and preventing all mobile phone charging; all of these contributed to the degradation of infrastructure and commercial activity throughout East Wallega zone.
