- East Wollega
One of the most common reasons given for the detention of women, for example in early-mid June, Balaaynesh Taaddasaa, Goban town, Jimma Raree district, and mother of seven, Biraane Toolassa, Gudaya Bila district, is that their husbands or children had joined OLA. Two, in Limmu and Sulula Finca’a districts were reportedly detained for not supporting the Prosperity Party in the June election, although ONM reported that one of these, Ms Dammee Amasiisaa, in Sulula Finca’a, was the victim of personal malice by regime loyalist Bethlehem Alamayo.
