More than 100 families were forced off their land in Gawo Qebe district, Qellem, at the beginning of June, accused of supporting OLA, and made destitute. In the same week, farmers in Dhidheessa district, Buno Bedele zone, were reported to have been evicted in the past three months and resettled on poor land, where they ‘faced severe hardship.’ On 11 June, government militia burned down a home and its contents and made several arrests in Sombo Sodeen Giittan village, Lata Sibu district, West Wallega.
