Killing by government forces in Adama, East Shewa (4 Jun 2026)

Daawwit Mul'ataa Dinqaa, a young man in Adama city, was shot dead by a policeman on 4 June, falsely accused of being an OLA supporter and an escapee from prison (ONM). A drunken altercation between militia members and soldiers belonging to an anti-guerilla unit, allegedly fighting over a female civilian, led to a gunfight in a bar in Bofaa town, Bosat district, in mid-June. Two militiamen, Tulluu Gammachuu and Gabii Masqalee, and a man in the anti-guerilla unit were killed: another militia member was badly wounded (ONM, 24 June).
