Killing by government forces in Chancho, Special Zone Surrounding Finfinne (19 Jun 2021)

Three Oromo women and a baby from Chancho kebele, Metekel zone, were killed by Amhara Special Forces on 19 June, according to a report from the same informants in Metekel and USA: Addisee Haile 45 Burtukan Olana 21 and her baby Darartu Roba 16 They were killed when walking to market because ‘the Amharas want Oromos to leave Cancho kebele’. Darartu’s body is shown above right. According to Gadado 11 July, the women were killed by Eritrean soldiers.
