Coercion to obtain ID cards In districts of North Showa, including Garba Gurracha, Girar Jarso, Hidhabuu Abootee, Dagaam, Warra Jarso and Darra, Prosperity Party cadres and militias were reported on 9 April to have been threatening residents that they would be unable to access bank accounts, visit health facilities or travel on public roads unless they had National ID cards. ONM wrote that this was merely another method of extortion.
