OLF Central Committee member Colonel Gamachu Ayana (right, before and after his earlier detention) was among nine ordered to be released by Lideta Federal High Court on 17 May 2021 but was re-arrested with Gada Gabissa, Bate Urgessa, Dawit Abdata, Lami Benya, Waqo Nole, Gada Oljira and others as they left Kilinto prison next morning. The men were transferred to Awash Melkasa military training camp near Adama, E Showa. On 24 July they were taken to Galan Police Station in the Akaki subdistrict of Finfinnee and thence to Burayu Police Station on 6 August 2021.
