Other abuses There were 18 ONM reports of abuses in Arsi and West Arsi between 30 December 2025 and 1 February 2026. Ten referred to detention of civilians, six to looting, five to extortion and excessive taxation and five to displacement due to burning of homes, crops and whole villages. Nine districts in Arsi (Munessa, Martii, Jaju, Robe [aka Robe Dida’a], Sirka, Collee, Asako, Dodota and Hexosa) and two districts in West Arsi (Heban and Negele) were affected.
