Hundreds of thousands, mostly Gedeo, displaced from West Guji; returns forced and aid restricted

From April to July 2018, Guji aggression against Gedeo communities forced hundreds of thousands of people, mostly Gedeo, to flee their homes; at the peak in July there were about 900,000 IDPs. IDPs and aid workers told HRW the government pressured IDPs to return to unsafe areas, restricted aid in displacement areas and pressured agencies to give food only in return areas.
