Around the end of May, Mrs Bontu died in hospital in Gawo Qebe district, Qellem, from being shot several weeks previously ‘by a militiaman named Zeenuu’ at the train station. On 6 June, government forces took Ayana Lata, father of two, from his home in Qarsaa Mojoo village, Sasiga district, East Wallega, and killed him. He had been detained on occasions previously, accused of supporting OLA.
